Main Project Info
Our client on this job knew Julian from playing music together at Manchester University and thought they’d try working together. Both he and his wife had impeccable, understated taste in both vintage interiors and vintage musical instruments. They hadn’t found an architect who could crack the plan of this wonderful detached villa in Highbury which needed to retain it’s original character, and be filled with low key vintage furniture and music.
The house had little connection to it’s wonderful garden, and had been poorly renovated over the years. We dramatically extended it with a simple brick and glass building, rationalised the rear elevation to tidy it up, and worked out a simple way of connecting the lower ground floor to the rest of the house by re organising the circulation.
