Kings Cross is one of the most iconic stations in London. Following a recent refurbishment of the main station, dmfk were approached by The Office Group to create a thriving flexible office environment in the Grade 1 listed eastern range buildings. The project follows on from the ideas explored at their Paddington Station building; 19 Eastbourne Terrace with key elements such as the Office Club, Meeting Rooms and a range of office provision aimed to support companies as they grow from small startups through to established businesses. The fabric of the existing building and its heritage stature has resulted in a unique approach to cellularised office and meeting space that highlights and compliments the original features, lightly abutting any existing walls. The proposal aims to link the existing foyer space to the club, meeting and office space on levels 1 and 2.
