Nicola Horlick Knightsbridge, London

Main Project Info

A fast tracked office fitout for Nicola Horlick’s hedge fund venture, Bramdean. The project was designed, approved, tendered and constructed in four months from inception to completion. We wanted the space to have a sharpness with a delicate touch, and generosity without feeling ostentatious. The layout was driven by a desire to distribute space equitably and flexibly. Thus, all staff sit at continuous workbenches, whatever their position. Generous staff areas are arranged across the valuable front elevation.

We used pale cream rubber for the floors, resin bound beige marble, chipped flooring to the reception area, a 5m long brown leather reception desk, a fish tank, a semi-translucent low iron glass screen with a fine fabric laminated within, ‘voiles’ to the meeting rooms, angle poise lamps hung from the ceiling, a mixture of different types of lighting to avoid flatness. Colours are pistacio green and FT pink.
