At the Workspace Design Show, dMFK Director Julian de Metz joined Mix Interiors for a panel asking: if the office is dead, why are we still designing it? Chaired by Harry McKinley, the discussion explored whether today’s workplaces are rooted in nostalgia, or whether the office still plays a vital role in shaping culture, identity and belonging.

With hybrid and remote working models here to stay, the panellists discussed how the office could navigate evolving ways of work. The office needs to shape itself to the needs of the people inside it, and become a flexible, comfortable space that could draw people in everyday, whilst remaining adaptable to changing work patterns.

Thank you to Mix Interiors for inviting dMFK and bringing such an important topic to the table, and to our fellow panellists for an insightful discussion.
